Eddie’s Corner: It’s a Good Time to Dig, Plant Perennials

PerennialsPlants are classed according to their growth cycle as annuals, biennials or perennials. To make sure I got the right information I consulted with Dr. Paul Thomas a Horticulturist, Professor and Specialist in Floriculture with UGA Extension in Athens. Annuals are short-lived plants that complete their entire life cycle within one growing season. Biennials normally grow strong plants in the first season, then bloom, self-seed, and die in the second season. Perennials live from year to year, with varying bloom times, and right now is a good time to dig and plant perennials. Continue reading
